PHOTO GALLERY OF CHIMNEYS & FIREPLACES WE HAVE REPAIRED

Here was a factory built fireplace where as you can see  the original builder finished it with some plane off white tile for the hearth extension and around the fireplace facade.  The fireplace and mantel were both very plane and kind of modern for this large living room/great room with a cathedral ceiling. We transformed this fireplace in a matter of a few days into a spectacular stone fireplace with a rustic barn beam mantel. The new hearth extension is a custom octagonal  cut piece of lime stone with a rock faced edge. It really is a beautiful focal point when you walk in the room. It really gives you the feel of being in a cozy cabin.

In this gallery we are showing pictures from a masonry fireplace that had sustained a chimney fire during the 2014 heating season. We discovered  that many of the terra cotta clay flue tiles were cracked from the extreme rapid change in temperature experienced during the chimney fire.  The one picture of the large pile of creosote is what we removed prior to the video scan of the flue system. This large pile of creosote is what was produced in two seasons of burning hard wood.  The other pictures are of the repair process involved with installation of a stainless steel liner system. Most chimney reline jobs require the removal of all the flue tiles to maintain the required space inside the flue for the fireplace or stove to draft properly. This installation intailed pouring liquid insulation around the new liner system . Then in the last pictures you see that we installed a new section of terra cotta clay flue tile at the top to maintain the chimneys original look from outside the home. These liner systems when installed acording to the manufacturers instuctions carry a life time warranty that is transferable.

In this gallery we are showing a full masonry stone fireplace that had a older gas log set inside the fire box. We transformed it into a beautifull energy efficient gas fireplace that puts the valuable heat into the house instead of sucking it up the chimney.

In this gallery we are showing the frost damage that is typical when moisture is present inside the brick durring the multiple freeze thaw processes  that we experience here in this reagon of the US. The demolition process to remove all the freeze damaged and deteriorated brick. The rebuilding process. The addition of a concrete cap at the top to protect the new brick chimney. We matched the brick using reclaimed brick purchased from a brick yard in Millwaukee. We pride our selves in the finish results looking original to match the existing structure.
Attention to  detail is what Im known for.

In this gallery we are showing pictures of an old farm house that had a large un attractive concrete block chimney. We installed masonry diomond wire to the entire exterior of the chimney and then installed some very nice river rock cultured stone to finish. The addition of this stone really made a beautiful focal point to this home when you pull into the driveway.
